Catering Terms & Conditions

Effective date: October 15, 2026

These Catering Terms & Conditions apply to catering, large-format, and other orders identified by Bujji Bakehouse as catering or custom orders. By approving an order and submitting payment, the customer agrees to these terms.

1. Order Confirmation

A catering inquiry, estimate, or quote does not reserve a date or constitute final acceptance. An order is confirmed only after Bujji Bakehouse accepts the order and any required payment is successfully received. Availability is not guaranteed until confirmation.

2. Customer Responsibility

The customer is responsible for reviewing the order before payment, including event date, pickup or delivery details, quantities, flavors, dietary information, contact information, and special instructions. Notify us immediately of an error.

3. Payment

Catering payments may be processed through Stripe or another designated provider. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, the amount shown as due must be paid to confirm the order. A failed, reversed, or disputed payment may result in cancellation to the extent permitted by law.

4. Changes and Final Quantities

Material changes, including quantity reductions, flavor changes, event-time changes, and other significant modifications, must be requested at least 72 hours before scheduled fulfillment. Changes are subject to availability and are not guaranteed. Additions may result in additional charges. We may decline changes that cannot reasonably be accommodated.

5. Cancellation by Customer

Unless different written terms are provided for a particular order:

  • 7 or more days before scheduled fulfillment: eligible for a full refund of amounts paid for the cancelled order.
  • 3 to 6 days before scheduled fulfillment: eligible for a 50% refund of amounts paid for the cancelled order.
  • Less than 72 hours before scheduled fulfillment: non-refundable.
  • Once preparation or special procurement has begun: amounts attributable to work performed, ingredients or supplies specially purchased, or other nonrecoverable commitments may be non-refundable to the extent permitted by law.

Refund timing may depend on the payment processor.

6. Custom and Large Orders

Very large, highly customized, holiday, special-event, or ingredient-specific orders may require different deposits, deadlines, minimums, or cancellation terms. Any different terms will be disclosed before payment and will control for that order.

7. Pickup

The customer is responsible for arriving during the confirmed pickup period. Prepared catering orders that are not picked up are non-refundable. We cannot guarantee how long perishable products can be held and may discard food when reasonably necessary for food safety, quality, or operations.

8. Delivery, When Offered

If delivery is expressly included, the customer must provide accurate delivery information and a reachable contact. Delivery timing may be affected by traffic, weather, access restrictions, and circumstances outside reasonable control. Unless expressly agreed in writing, quoted fulfillment times are not guarantees of an exact minute. Third-party delivery services may have separate terms.

9. Setup and Service

Unless specifically included in the written order, catering pricing does not include event setup, decorating, serving staff, equipment rental, cleanup, or on-site food service.

10. Menu, Availability and Substitutions

Menu items and ingredients are subject to availability. If an ingredient, garnish, packaging component, or decoration becomes unavailable, we may make a reasonable non-material substitution. We will attempt to contact the customer before a material substitution when reasonably practicable. We will not knowingly make a substitution that conflicts with allergy information specifically communicated to and accepted by us.

11. Allergies and Dietary Restrictions

The customer is responsible for communicating known food allergies and dietary restrictions before the order is confirmed and for communicating relevant allergen information to guests. Our facility handles multiple major allergens and cross-contact may occur. See our Allergen & Food Safety Notice. We cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment unless expressly confirmed otherwise in writing.

12. Serving Estimates

Any serving counts or portion estimates are estimates only. Actual consumption varies by event, guest, menu, and serving method. The customer is responsible for determining quantities appropriate for the event.

13. Food Handling After Transfer

Once an order is picked up, delivered, or transferred to the customer or customer's representative, the customer assumes responsibility for safe transportation, temperature control, storage, handling, display, and service. Follow any food-safety instructions supplied with the order.

14. Delays and Events Outside Reasonable Control

We are not responsible for failure or delay caused by circumstances reasonably outside our control, including severe weather, utility failures, government orders, emergencies, supply interruptions, transportation disruptions, equipment failures, labor disruptions, or comparable events. If such circumstances materially prevent fulfillment, we will work toward an appropriate resolution consistent with applicable law and the circumstances.

15. Order Issues

Any missing, incorrect, or quality-issue items should be reported as soon as reasonably possible and, when practicable, within 24 hours. Photographs and order details may be requested. Depending on the circumstances, an appropriate remedy may include replacement, store credit, partial refund, or refund.

16. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Customers should contact Bujji Bakehouse promptly to attempt to resolve legitimate order concerns. Nothing in these terms restricts a customer's lawful right to dispute a charge or exercise rights provided by a payment-card issuer or applicable law. We may provide order confirmations, acceptance records, communications, fulfillment records, and other relevant information to a payment processor or financial institution in connection with a dispute.

17. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Rasa Bakehouse LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages arising from a catering order. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

18. Governing Law and Severability

These terms are governed by Illinois law except where applicable law requires otherwise. If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

19. Entire Order Agreement

These Catering Terms, the confirmed order details, and any specific written terms provided for the order constitute the applicable agreement regarding the catering order. Specific written order terms control if they conflict with these general Catering Terms.
